Pamlico Executive Advisory Board – In this role Mike works closely with Pamlico Capital team members on improving performance of existing portfolio companies as well as pursuing new investment opportunities.  Pamlico is a highly successful growth equity fund, which partners with mid market firms typically raising their first round of institutional capital. Mike’s areas of expertise related to driving commercial sales and running recurring revenue based companies are leveraged in this capacity. Vast Broadband – in this role Mike works with Pamlico Capital in their support of founding Vast management team Jim Gleason, Larry Eby and Keith Davidson. Rollins College Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship https://www.rollins.edu/business/centers-of-excellence/advanced-entrepreneurship/docs/michael-gallagher1.pdf  Mike currently serves as BOD chair for this center of excellence associated with the Rollins Crummer School of Business, one of the top MBA programs in the Southeast. Hosting.com – Mike served as Executive chair of this Pamlico backed data center and managed services firm based in Denver Colorado from March 2016 to January 2019. Mike provided Executive Team leadership and focused on operational improvement, including churn mitigation and customer intimacy efforts. Mike helped execute a successful merger and dividend recap of Hosting and Hostway Corporation, which closed at year end 2019.  https://hostway.com/press-releases/hostway-hosting-merger/ 

Momentum Telecom  https://momentumtelecom.com  Mike began serving on the Momentum Telecom BOD in January 2014, as a result of its acquisition of IBBS Communications, where he served as CEO.  https://www.bizjournals.com/birmingham/news/2014/01/08/momentum-mergers-with-ibbs.html . At Momentum, Mike helped ease the transition and integration of the two companies which resulted in a dynamic growth engine and VOIP industry leader. Momentum Telecom was acquired by Court Square Capital in 2018, at a substantial premium to its 2014 valuation. 

C&D Technologies https://www.cdtechno.com –  Mike served on the C&D Technologies BOD from 2011 to 2017, supporting Angelo Gordon led recapitalization of the company. C&D is an industry leading  backup power manufacturer with operations worldwide. Mike served on the independent committee as part of the C&D go private transaction which allowed the company to complete its turnaround as a private entity.  

Nuvox Communications – Mike served on the Nuvox BOD in 2007 as a result of its acquisition of FDN Communications, where Mike was the founding CEO.  Mike helped integration efforts and also ran and all sales and marketing at Nuvox, managing over 300 quota bearing representatives and $500M of annual revenue. Nuvox was sold to publicly traded Windstream Comunications in 2010,  https://www.pehub.com/2010/02/nuvox-sells-for-643-million/ allowing for a successful exit for Nuvox and former FDN shareholders.
