Mike and Eldora Partners were hired in early 2019 to advise the senior lender of Fusion Inc, a publicly traded telecom carrier who had recently filed Chapter 11. Mike and team worked alongside Greenhill & Co and Altman Vilandrie to construct a bottoms up financial model including a valuation analysis that was used by the bank group to determine strategic direction. Leveraging specific industry knowledge, Mike helped the banks focus on the company’s most important operational metrics and management priorities. Fusion emerged as a recapitalized private entity in late 2019.
C&D Technologies Go Private Transaction As part of the overall restructuring of C&D Technologies, a public manufacturer of standby power systems, Mike served on the Board of Directors and specifically, the Independent Committee of the BOD, which analyzed and executed a “go private “ transaction. Angelo Gordon had previously brought the company through a Chapter 11 process and owned the majority of the equity of C&D. The “go private” process allowed for the purchase by Angelo Gordon of the remaining shares of the company which enabled its complete re-organization as a private entity.
